This year Google is sponsoring 4 students to work on the following gPXE projects: ===== Driver Development Proposal ===== [[wiki:soc:2008:mdeck|Project page]] Michael Decker is updating a legacy Etherboot driver to the [[dev:netdriverapi|gPXE API]] and porting a Linux driver to gPXE. ===== GDB Remote Debugging ===== [[wiki:soc:2008:stefanha|Project page]] Stefan Hajnoczi is implementing remote debugging support in gPXE so developers can use the [[http://www.gnu.org/software/gdb/|GNU Project Debugger (GDB)]] or any debugger which supports the GDB remote protocol. ===== Implementing USB Support ===== [[wiki:soc:2008:balajirrao|Project page]] Balaji R Rao is implementing USB support so that network cards that are connected through the USB bus can be used by gPXE. ===== COMBOOT support for gPXE ===== [[wiki:soc:2008:dverkamp|Project page]] Daniel Verkamp is implementing [[http://syslinux.zytor.com/comboot.php|SYSLINUX COMBOOT API]] support so that gPXE can run COMBOOT executables for features like menu user interfaces.
