Windows 7 boot from SAN

Like Windows 2008, Windows 7 supports install directly to an iSCSI target.

The install process of Windows 7 works the same as for Windows 2008 so those instructions can be followed. First setup a target, then install on the target and you should be on your way!

Cards that may not work with this

Windows cannot be installed to this disk. iSCSI deployment is disabled since no NICs referenced in the iBFT can be resolved to actual NT-visible devices.
