what are equipment suggestions for ultra low cost in-situ-flashing NIC based PCI option ROM way to do things?

#1: RTL8139 with 32 pin socket such as “El Cheapo” LCS-8038TXR7 by Longshine with part# “SST39SF040-70-4C-PHE” 5 Volt, 64 KByte, flash ROM by SST plus ZIF socket 32 DIL / DIP (most expensive being the ZIF socket, total cost below €15)

the c't IDE flasher is not really convenient anymore.

the simplest way to do stuff is to use a Realtek RTL-8139 32-pin-socket NIC and do in-situ-flashing of 5V flash ROMs.

no replug, no UV erase, no nothing. just reboot and use the PCI option ROM straight away. And pay total max. €9 EURO for equipment.
