You didn't specify the vendor. The ID suggests you have an Intel E1000.
The other cards you have compiled for, did you use them in the very same
computer?
Are you pressing Control-B during the computer's POST and booting Linux
from there? If so, that might be too soon for the BIOS to have
populated the E820 memory map.
