I've got a dhcp + tftp boot + nfs root + serial console setup running
without wraplinux which just works with a stock debian kernel. To skip
wraplinux, just use scripting. You can either embed the script
if you're compiling gpxe yourself or deliver a gpxe script
via tftp script (I'm using both). [1] explains how to setup the gpxe
script
accordingly to your needs.
