Do you mean

   "why does WDS not work with gPXE?"

or do you mean

   "why does WDS not work with Etherboot-5.4.x?"

Etherboot 5.4.x has PXE support, so I'm not sure whether you are saying
that WDS is not working with that or with gPXE.
