Hello!
I have problem booting from gpxe rom flashed into bios.
What I'm doing:
- get ROM binary for rtl8139 chipset (set vendor:device = 10ec:8139) from
rom-o-matic 0.9.9 gpxe;
- add this rom to bios rom on motherboard;
- trying to boot;
- Computer hangs with message: "gPXE (PCI 02:15.0) starting execution"
If I press Ctrl-B keys on early boot (before network boot) - gpxe do not
hang and allow me execute commands:
> ifstat
net0: 10:e0:0c:40:xx:xx on PCI02:15.0 (closed)
[Link:up, TX:0, TXE:0, RX:0, RXE:0]
> dhcp net0
DHCP (net0 10:e0:0c:40:xx:xx). ok
> autoboot
net0: 10:e0:0c:40:xx:xx on PCI02:15.0 (closed)
[Link:up, TX:3, TXE:0, RX:6, RXE:0]
DHCP (net0 10:e0:0c:40:xx:xx). ok
net0: 192.168.60.2/255.255.255.0 gw 192.168.60.100
Booting from PXE menu
PXEBS (net0 type 128). ok
tftp://192.168.60.42/pxelinux.0. ok
And hangs also.
If I get "Linux kernel loadable image" from rom-o-matic 0.9.9 gpxe and
chainload this image from GRUB, then gpxe boot perfectly in current
proxyDHCP environment.
Please help.
