Didn't miss it.  Being able to specify the delimiter is an advantage, 
but an extra UI requirement.  What I meant was I agree with
(1) having a delimiter and
(2) ';' (as used in your example) is an intuitive default (to us). :)

True.  Syslinux' mboot.c32 uses "---" to delimit sets of module+cmdline, 
which seems pleasant enough and would be at least a little familiar to 
some multiboot users.  I wonder if collisions were considered there...
